Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2808

  • Board: means the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2801
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The board may grant a license to practice chiropractic with examination to a chiropractor who:

(1)  Complies with the same or equivalent requirements as provided in La. Rev. Stat. 37:2805; or

(2)  Has maintained a license and has been in active practice in good standing in another jurisdiction for a minimum of five consecutive years immediately prior to his application and meets all requirements of La. Rev. Stat. 37:2805 with the exception of La. Rev. Stat. 37:2805(B)(1)(f).
