  • Bailiff: a court officer who enforces the rules of behavior in courtrooms.
  • Charity: An agency, institution, or organization in existence and operating for the benefit of an indefinite number of persons and conducted for educational, religious, scientific, medical, or other beneficent purposes.

  • En banc: In the bench or "full bench." Refers to court sessions with the entire membership of a court participating rather than the usual quorum.
