- Adult: means a person who has attained the age of 18 years. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Adverse underwriting decision: means any of the following actions with respect to consumer insurance transactions involving insurance coverage that is individually underwritten:

To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant. Applicant: means any person who seeks to contract for insurance coverage other than a person seeking group insurance that is not individually underwritten. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 2204 Authority: means the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority established in section 13083?G. Bankruptcy judges preside over these proceedings. base: means those properties and facilities within the geographic boundaries of the United States Department of Defense naval air station at Brunswick existing on the effective date of this section. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 13083-H Bond: means a bond or note or other evidence of indebtedness authorized under this article, whether issued under or pursuant to a bond resolution, trust indenture, loan or other security agreement. A. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 2204Caucus: From the Algonquian Indian language, a caucus meant "to meet together." An informal organization of members of the legislature that exists to discuss issues of mutual concern and possibly to perform legislative research and policy planning for its members. There are regional, political or ideological, ethnic, and economic-based caucuses. Chief Information Officer: means the person who holds the lead information technology position within the executive branch that directs, coordinates and oversees information technology policy making, planning, architecture and standardization. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 1972 Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 1-A Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Administrative and Financial Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 5 Sec. 1972 Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant. Compliance with a support order: means that the support obligor has obtained or maintained health insurance coverage if required by a support order and is:
(1) No more than 60 days in arrears in making any of the following payments:
(a) Payments in full for current support;
(b) Periodic payments on a support arrearage pursuant to a written agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services; and
(c) Periodic payments as set forth in a support order; and
(2) No more than 30 days in arrears in making payments as described in subparagraph (1) if the obligor has been in arrears for more than 30 days in making payments as described in subparagraph (1) at least 2 times within the past 24 months. Department: means the Department of Health and Human Services. Guide: means a person who receives any form of remuneration for that person's services in accompanying or assisting a person in the fields or forests or on the waters or ice within the jurisdiction of the State while hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, snowmobiling, using an all-terrain vehicle or camping at a primitive camping area. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 12 Sec. 10001 Health care: includes prescribing, dispensing, furnishing or providing to a patient drugs, biologicals, medical devices, health care equipment and supplies or hospice services and the banking of blood, sperm, organs or any other tissue. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 24-A Sec. 2204 Health care: means any care, treatment, service or procedure to maintain, diagnose or otherwise affect an individual's physical or mental condition. Interest is paid on loans or on debt instruments, such as notes or bonds, either at regular intervals or as part of a lump sum payment when the issue matures. The power of attorney may be for a definite, specific act, or it may be general in nature. The terms of the written power of attorney may specify when it will expire. If not, the power of attorney usually expires when the person granting it dies. Source: OCC Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
