Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 17 Sec. 2264-C

  • Litter: includes waste materials resulting from or associated with the use of tobacco products, including, but not limited to, cigarette butts, all waste materials resulting from the outdoor release or abandonment of a balloon and all waste materials resulting from the use of consumer fireworks.   • Watercraft: means any type of vessel, boat or craft used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 17 Sec. 2263
All conveyances, including aircraft, watercraft, vehicles, vessels, containers or cranes that are used, or attempted to be used, to dump more than 1,000 pounds or more than 100 cubic feet of litter in violation of section 2264-A are subject to forfeiture as provided in Title 15, chapter 517.
