  • auction: means the offering of cattle, sheep, swine, goats, equines, domesticated cervids, poultry and other animals raised for food or fiber for sale by means of exchanges between an auctioneer and bidders. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 14 Sec. 6203-G

The permit to operate an auction may be suspended in a manner consistent with the Maine Administrative Procedure Act. [2001, c. 572, §18 (RPR).]
