- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
For purposes of this title, the Board may treat the imposition of probation before judgment for an offense in the same manner as a conviction for the same offense.
