Terms Used In Michigan Laws 92.4a
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- city: whenever used in this act , shall be construed to mean a city incorporated under this act, or made subject to its provisions. See Michigan Laws 113.10
A police officer of a city or, if authorized by the city council, a constable of a city has the same authority within the city as a deputy sheriff to execute a bench warrant for arrest issued by a court of record or a municipal court.
