  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Property: includes real and personal property. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Upon the swearing in of a new board of election commissioners, the election authority or other custodian shall, upon demand, turn over to the new board all records, supplies and property relating in any way to the registration of voters and the conduct of elections within its jurisdiction.
