Nebraska Statutes 60-4,148. Commercial drivers’ licenses; issuance
(1) All commercial drivers’ licenses shall be issued by the department as provided in sections 60-4,148.01 and 60-4,149. Successful applicants shall pay the fee and surcharge prescribed in section 60-4,115.
Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes 60-4,148
- Commercial motor vehicle: means a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used in commerce to transport passengers or property if the motor vehicle:
(a) Has a gross combination weight rating or gross combination weight of eleven thousand seven hundred ninety-four kilograms or more (twenty-six thousand one pounds or more) inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of more than four thousand five hundred thirty-six kilograms (ten thousand pounds). - Department: means the Department of Motor Vehicles. See Nebraska Statutes 60-465.01
- Motor vehicle: means all vehicles propelled by any power other than muscular power. See Nebraska Statutes 60-471
- Person: shall mean every natural person, firm, partnership, limited liability company, association, or corporation. See Nebraska Statutes 60-476
(2) Any person making application to add or remove a class of commercial motor vehicle, any endorsement, or any restriction to or from a previously issued and outstanding commercial driver’s license shall pay the fee and surcharge prescribed in section 60-4,115. The fee for an original or renewal seasonal permit to revalidate the restricted commercial motor vehicle operating privilege to a previously issued and outstanding restricted commercial driver’s license shall be the fee and surcharge prescribed in section 60-4,115.
