Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 292:5-b

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
A foreign nonprofit corporation established for any of the purposes set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 292:1 or for a substantially similar purpose, desiring to do business in this state in furtherance of such purpose for the benefit of citizens of this state, may register as a foreign corporation by making application as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 293-A:15.03, excepting those portions relative to using a form of the words “corporation,” “company,” “incorporated” or “limited” in the corporate name. Any such foreign nonprofit corporation shall file the return and pay the fee provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 292:25-29.
