  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The commission shall approve as a corporation of higher learning only such institutions as have been evaluated according to procedures and standards established by the commission. The commission may accept accreditation or program approval by a recognized accrediting body in place of its own independent evaluation.
