Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 294-A:30

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
This chapter shall apply to all existing associations or corporations organized under the law of this state which is superseded by this chapter. Every such existing professional association or corporation which shall be required to amend its corporate name or purposes to comply with this chapter shall deliver duly executed duplicate originals of articles of amendment or restated articles of incorporation containing the amendments to the secretary of state within 90 days after the effective date of this chapter.
