  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The corporation, at any meeting called for the purpose, may increase or reduce its capital stock and the number of shares into which it is divided, within the limits authorized by law.
