Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 301:40

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
Each association formed under this chapter shall prepare and submit to its annual meeting an annual report containing the name of the association, its principal place of business; a general statement of its business operations during the fiscal year, showing the amount of capital stock paid for and the number of stockholders, if a stock association, or the number of members and amount of membership fees received, if a nonstock association; the total expenses of operation; the amount of its assets and indebtedness or liabilities.
