Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 383:11-a

  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • justice: when applied to a magistrate, shall mean a justice of a municipal court, or a justice of the peace having jurisdiction over the subject-matter. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:12
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The commissioner shall be authorized to enter into contracts with federal regulatory and insuring agencies to perform examinations of financial institutions, or to provide other services, and to receive monetary reimbursement for the costs incurred in providing such contract services. Contracts for services to be provided by the banking department under this section shall be reviewed and approved as to proper legal form by the department of justice. Sums collected for contracted services under this section shall be payable to the state treasurer as restricted revenue and credited to the appropriation for the bank commissioner.
