  • Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • real estate: shall include lands, tenements, and hereditaments, and all rights thereto and interests therein. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:21
By an attachment of real estate all the debtor’s interest therein is held to satisfy the judgment, though such interest is a right of redeeming the same upon a mortgage or levy or sale on execution or for taxes, or a right to receive a conveyance thereof by a contract.
