Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2A:19-45

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • general assignment: includes an assignment by a debtor made under section 2A:20-6 of this title. See New Jersey Statutes 2A:19-1
2A:19-45. A corporation making a general assignment shall be deemed, for the purposes of this chapter, a resident of the county in which its principal office is located.
