Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2C:21-20.1
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 16. A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he does not possess a license to practice acupuncture, or his license is suspended, revoked or otherwise limited by an order entered by the Acupuncture Examining Board, and, so knowing, he:
a. engages in that practice;
b. exceeds the scope of practice permitted by the board order;
c. holds himself out to the public or any person as being licensed to engage in that practice;
d. engages in any activity for which a license is a necessary prerequisite; or
e. practices acupuncture under a false or assumed name or falsely impersonates another person licensed by the board.
