§ 701. Definitions. As used in this title, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings, unless some other meaning is plainly intended.

  • authority: shall mean the corporation created by section seven hundred two of this chapter. See N.Y. Public Authorities Law 701
  • bridge: shall include approaches and all construction necessary to give access to the bridge from connecting roads, toll houses, toll booths and such facilities as may be necessary to the collection of tolls, buildings and structures necessary for the housing of customs and immigration officials and such other buildings and appurtenances necessary to the operation of the bridge as an international toll bridge.   • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

1. The word "authority" shall mean the corporation created by section seven hundred two of this chapter.

2. The word "board" shall mean the members of the authority.

3. The word "bridge" shall include approaches and all construction necessary to give access to the bridge from connecting roads, toll houses, toll booths and such facilities as may be necessary to the collection of tolls, buildings and structures necessary for the housing of customs and immigration officials and such other buildings and appurtenances necessary to the operation of the bridge as an international toll bridge.
