North Carolina General Statutes 10B-105. (Effective until July 1, 2023) Qualifications
(a) A person qualified for electronic notary registration shall meet all of the following requirements:
(1) Hold a valid commission as a notary public in the State of North Carolina.
(2) Except as otherwise provided, abide by all the provisions of Article 1 of this Chapter.
(3) Satisfy the requirements of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 10B-107
(4) Submit an electronic registration form containing no significant misstatement or omission of fact.
(b) The Secretary may deny a registration as an electronic notary as authorized in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 10B-5(d). ?(2005-391, s. 4.)

(3) Satisfy the requirements of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 10B-107

- following: when used by way of reference to any section of a statute, shall be construed to mean the section next preceding or next following that in which such reference is made; unless when some other section is expressly designated in such reference. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies.
