The director of health may, upon application and proof of valid registration, issue a certificate of registration to any person who is or has been registered as an environmental health specialist by any other state, if the requirements of that state at the time of such registration are determined by the director to be at least equivalent to the requirements of this chapter.

  • Environmental health specialist: means a person who performs for compensation educational, investigational, technical, or administrative duties requiring specialized knowledge and skills in the field of environmental health science. See Ohio Code 4736.01
  • Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
  • state: means the state of Ohio. See Ohio Code 1.59
