Terms Used In South Dakota Codified Laws 34-20B-69
- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- State: the State of South Dakota. See South Dakota Codified Laws 34-20B-1
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
In case of an alleged violation of an injunction or restraining order issued under § 34-20B-68, trial shall, upon demand of the accused, be by jury in accordance with the rules of the state courts.
