- Dentistry: the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment, including surgery and the prescribing of drugs, of diseases, disorders, or conditions of the human oral cavity or its adjacent or associated tissues and structures of the maxillofacial area, and their impact on the human body. - Misdemeanor: Usually a petty offense, a less serious crime than a felony, punishable by less than a year of confinement.
No advertising pertaining to the practice of dentistry may be fraudulent or misleading. A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
