Karen E. Clarke has over 25 years of experience as a commercial litigator. Previously practicing in the New York office of the international law firm Proskauer Rose LLP, Karen is now Of Counsel at Castaybert PLLC, a small business litigation firm founded by former Proskauer litigator André Castaybert.
Karen has represented large public corporations, small private companies, financial institutions, officers and directors, and other individuals in a variety of commercial matters including defense of stockholder and consumer class actions, contract disputes, real estate and construction litigation, employee disputes, business torts, intellectual property, and trust and estate litigation. Karen has also assisted clients with internal investigations, responses to subpoenas and regulatory inquiries, and victim impact statements.
Karen practices in state and federal trial and appellate courts in New York and New Jersey, as well as in arbitral forums including AAA, FINRA, and the National Futures Association.
