Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 32.11.050

  • department: means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development. See Alaska Statutes 32.11.900
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

If a person required by Alaska Stat. § 32.11.040 to execute a certificate fails or refuses to do so, a person who is adversely affected by the failure or refusal may petition the superior court to direct the execution of the certificate. If the court finds that it is proper for the certificate to be executed and that a person so designated has failed or refused to execute the certificate, it shall order the department to record an appropriate certificate.
