The Workers’ Compensation Board shall cause the Occupational Health Section to conduct a study or insure that a study is conducted, of the effects on occupational health and safety of the use in reforestation activities of tree seedlings treated with the pesticide thiram or any formulation containing the chemical tetramethylthiuram disulfide. The study shall include evaluation of alternative precautionary measures that may be taken to protect the health and safety of individuals involved in reforestation activities who handle tree seedlings treated with thiram. The board shall report its findings and recommendations to the State Department of Agriculture not later than December 1, 1976. [1975 c.777 § 2]
