An individual may not use the title ‘nurse’ unless the individual:

- United States: includes territories, outlying possessions and the District of Columbia. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
(1) Has earned a nursing degree or a nursing certificate from a nursing education program that is:
(a) Approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing; or
(b) Accredited or approved by another state or United States territory as described under ORS § 678.040 and approved by the board; and
(2) Is licensed by a health professional regulatory board to practice the particular health care profession in which the individual’s nursing degree or nursing certificate was earned. [2015 c.345 § 2; 2017 c.101 § 17; 2019 c.358 § 19]
