The board of supervisors of the principal county shall cause a copy of the resolution adopted pursuant to Section 23369 to be filed with the State Board of Equalization, the Secretary of State, and the board of supervisors of each affected county.

  • Affected county: means each county from which territory is proposed to be transferred to create a new county. See California Government Code 23301
  • Principal county: means the county from which it is proposed that territory with the greatest proportion of assessed value, as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, relative to the total amount of taxable property within the boundaries of a proposed county, is to be transferred to create, in part, that proposed county.   • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
