(a) The board may appoint one or more advisory committees to give advice to the board of supervisors regarding a county service area‘s services and facilities.
(b) The board may provide for the appointment, qualifications, terms, procedures, meetings, and ethical conduct of the members of an advisory committee. Any comments by an advisory committee are wholly advisory and it is not the responsibility or within the authority of an advisory committee to make decisions, manage, or direct the delivery of services and facilities.
Terms Used In California Government Code 25212.4
- Board: means the county board of supervisors acting as the governing authority of a county service area. See California Government Code 25210.2
- County service area: means a county service area formed pursuant to this chapter or any of its statutory predecessors. See California Government Code 25210.2
