Terms Used In Alabama Code 45-46-70.10

  • year: means a calendar year; but, whenever the word "year" is used in reference to any appropriations for the payment of money out of the treasury, it shall mean fiscal year. See Alabama Code 1-1-1

The members of the board of revenue shall each be entitled to ten dollars ($10) per day for each day of actual service rendered; five cents ($.05) per mile for traveling to and from the sittings of the board of revenue, and to and from the place where any service is rendered by them, to be paid out of the county treasury on certificates or warrants signed by the president, or president pro tem, of the board of revenue; provided that no member of the board of revenue, during any year, shall receive more than eight hundred dollars ($800) from the county treasury for any and all services rendered by him or her either as a member of the board or for any work or labor done for, or services rendered to the county.
