Terms Used In Alabama Code 45-52-81.04

  • circuit: means judicial circuit. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
  • Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).

In addition to any and all other compensation and expense allowances, each court reporter for the Eighth Judicial Circuit shall be allowed and paid an additional one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per annum as salary, which shall be in addition to any and all other pay, compensation, or expense allowances provided by law. The salary increase shall be paid out of the general fund of the county comprising the Eighth Judicial Circuit in the same manner as compensation is paid to each such reporter, commencing October 1, 1981.
