- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
Within 90 days after the end of each fiscal year of the board, the board shall furnish to the governing body of the City of Decatur a copy of the audit of its books and accounts made in accordance with the requirements of Section 45-52A-35.11 and will make such other reports to the governing body of the city as the governing body may request from time to time.
