The Board is authorized:
(1) To declare as a pest any form of plant or animal life or virus which is injurious to plants, man, domestic animals, articles, or substances;

- Board: means the North Carolina Pesticide Board. See North Carolina General Statutes 143-460
- pest: means any insect, rodent, nematode, fungus, weed or any other noxious or undesirable microorganism or macroorganism, except viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms on or in living persons or other living animals. See North Carolina General Statutes 143-460
(2) To determine whether pesticides are highly toxic to man; and
(3) To determine standards of coloring or discoloring for pesticides, and to subject pesticides to the requirements of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-443(a)(4). (1971, c. 832, s. 1.)
