A third person in good faith and without court order may act on the instructions of or otherwise deal with any person purporting to make a transfer or purporting to act in the capacity of a custodian and, in the absence of knowledge, is not responsible for determining:
(1) the validity of the purported custodian’s designation;

- Custodian: means a person so designated under Section
75A-8-110 or a successor or substitute custodian designated under Section75A-8-119 . See Utah Code 75A-8-102 - Minor: means an individual who is under 21 years old. See Utah Code 75A-8-102
- Person: means an individual, corporation, organization as defined in Section
75-1-201 , or other legal entity. See Utah Code 75A-8-102 - Property: means the same as that term is defined in Section
75-1-201 . See Utah Code 75A-8-102 - Transfer: means a transaction that creates custodial property under Section
75A-8-109 . See Utah Code 75A-8-102
(2) the propriety of, or the authority under this chapter for, any act of the purported custodian;
(3) the validity or propriety under this chapter of any instrument or instructions executed or given either by the person purporting to make transfer or by the purported custodian; or
(4) the propriety of the application of any property of the minor delivered to the purported custodian.
