  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(2) damage to property;

resulting from a motor vehicle accident.

     (b) This chapter does not apply to a civil action brought to recover damages for injury, death, or property damage that is caused intentionally.
