Terms Used In Alabama Code 28-4-127

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
  • writing: includes typewriting and printing on paper. See Alabama Code 1-1-1

It shall be the duty of every railroad company, express company or other common carrier and of every person, firm or corporation who shall carry or transport any of the liquors mentioned in Section state, foreign country, etc., or delivery within state of liquors intended to be used in violation of laws of state” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2020″ statecd=”AL” title=”28″>28-4-120 into this state from any of the points or places mentioned in Section 28-4-120 and who shall deliver such liquors or any of them to any person, firm or corporation in this state to file with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board a statement, either printed or plainly written or typewritten on stout paper, correctly stating the date on which the liquor was delivered, the name and post office address of the consignee and consignor, the place of delivery and to whom delivered and the kind and amount of such liquor delivered. Such statement shall be filed within three days after the date of delivery of such liquor. If said statement is in writing, it shall be in a fair and legible hand, and the names of the consignee and consignor and of the party obtaining delivery shall be truly ascertained and furnished in such way as to avoid mistakes in names.
