(a) Effective January 1, 1987, every license tag or plate issued under the provisions of this section and Sections 40-12-273, 40-12-274” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2020″ statecd=”AL” title=”40″>40-12-274 shall be manufactured in such a manner as to meet the minimum federal performance standards as set out in Table I of the Society of Automotive Engineers Standard J594e, “Reflex Reflectors,” of Federal Standard 108.
