- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
The county commission shall prescribe the procedure for the review of building plans for any building to be erected or renovated which is located or to be located in the designated historic districts, including rules governing decisions of the architectural review board and the procedure for appeal from decisions of the architectural review board.
