Terms Used In Alabama Code 45-2-41.07
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- circuit: means judicial circuit. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Grantor: The person who establishes a trust and places property into it.
If any grantor violates this part, a dealer may bring an action against the grantor in the Circuit Court of Baldwin County for damages sustained by the dealer as a consequence of the grantor’s violation, together with the actual costs of the action, including reasonable actual attorneys’ fees. The dealer may seek and the court may grant injunctive relief against unlawful amendment or modification, termination, cancellation, nonrenewal, or discontinuance of the dealership agreement.
