  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

In Madison County, the Madison County Judicial Commission before submitting nominations to the Governor to fill a judicial vacancy pursuant to Amendment 334 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, shall make the list of judicial nominees public and vote on the list of judicial nominees to be submitted to the Governor to fill the judicial vacancy at a public meeting.
