(a) An amendment to Alaska Stat. § 14.25.009 – 14.25.220 is not retroactive unless its retroactivity is expressly stated in the amendment.

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
(b) The monthly amount of a benefit payable under Alaska Stat. § 14.25.009 – 14.25.220 shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 14.25.009 – 14.25.220 in effect on the date of termination of the member’s last segment of employment.
