(a) For purposes of Alaska Stat. § 15.56.012(a) and 15.56.016(a)(1), each day a violation continues constitutes a separate offense.

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 15.56.018

  • Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(b) When a person is convicted of violating Alaska Stat. § 15.56.012, in addition to imposition of a sentence as authorized by Alaska Stat. § 12.55.015, notwithstanding Alaska Stat. § 12.55.015(c), the court shall order suspension, for a period of one year, of any license held by the defendant that allows the defendant to do business in the state.
