Alaska Statutes 15.56.050 – Voter misconduct in the second degree

(a) A person commits the crime of voter misconduct in the second degree if the person

Under the Alaska Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
Class A misdemeanor	up to 1 year	up to $25,000

person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
reregistration: means the submission of a registration form by a voter whose registration was inactivated on the master register maintained under Alaska Stat. See Alaska Statutes 15.80.010
voter: means a person who presents oneself for the purpose of voting either in person or by absentee ballot. See Alaska Statutes 15.80.010

(1) registers to vote without being entitled to register under Alaska Stat. § 15.07.030;

(2) knowingly makes a material false statement while applying for voter registration or reregistration; or

(3) votes or attempts to vote in an election after being disqualified under Alaska Stat. § 15.05.030.

(b) Voter misconduct in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
