(a) A person commits the crime of voter misconduct in the second degree if the person

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 15.56.050

  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • reregistration: means the submission of a registration form by a voter whose registration was inactivated on the master register maintained under Alaska Stat. See Alaska Statutes 15.80.010
  • voter: means a person who presents oneself for the purpose of voting either in person or by absentee ballot. See Alaska Statutes 15.80.010
(1) registers to vote without being entitled to register under Alaska Stat. § 15.07.030;
(2) knowingly makes a material false statement while applying for voter registration or reregistration; or
(3) votes or attempts to vote in an election after being disqualified under Alaska Stat. § 15.05.030.
(b) Voter misconduct in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
