Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 28.23.140

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • department: means the Department of Administration. See Alaska Statutes 28.90.990
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities may, under Alaska Stat. Chapter 02.15, enter into a contract, lease, or other arrangement with a transportation network company for use of an international airport owned or operated by the state. A contract, lease, or arrangement under Alaska Stat. Chapter 02.15 must be consistent with this chapter.
