Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 37.13.040

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

There is established the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation. The corporation is a public corporation and government instrumentality in the Department of Revenue managed by the board of trustees. The purpose of the corporation is to manage and invest the assets of the permanent fund and other funds designated by law in accordance with Alaska Stat. § 37.13.01037.13.190.
