Each year, the legislature may appropriate not more than five percent of the amount determined by the commissioner of revenue under Alaska Stat. § 37.14.160 (5) for the following purposes:

(1) funding support of the state public school program; and

  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(2) reimbursement of the costs of administration of the fund.
