  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

The proceeds of bonds may be used for the purposes described in Alaska Stat. § 37.16.030(a), as appropriate. Bonds may not be issued unless the corporation first finds that the actuarially assumed rate of return on the funds managed by the Alaska Retirement Management Board is projected to exceed the true interest cost to be paid on the bonds by at least 1.5 percent annually.
