Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 38.05.059

  • agricultural land: means land chiefly valuable for agricultural purposes. See Alaska Statutes 38.05.965
  • commissioner: means the commissioner of natural resources. See Alaska Statutes 38.05.965
  • land: means all land, including shoreland, tideland , and submerged land, or resources belonging to or acquired by the state. See Alaska Statutes 38.05.965
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

The commissioner, after consulting with the Board of Agriculture and Conservation (Alaska Stat. § 03.09.010), may provide for the sale of land classified under Alaska Stat. § 38.05.020(b)(6) for agricultural uses in parcels or tracts described by aliquot parts. The parcels or tracts are subject to state subdivision requirements and municipal ordinances. Money from a sale of agricultural land shall be separately accounted for and may be appropriated to the agricultural revolving loan fund (Alaska Stat. § 03.10.040).
