(a) A municipality or a corporation entitled to receive notice under Alaska Stat. § 38.05.945(c) may hold a hearing within 30 days after receipt of the notice. If a hearing is held, the commissioner shall attend the hearing. The commissioner has discretion to hold a public hearing.

  • commissioner: means the commissioner of natural resources. See Alaska Statutes 38.05.965
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
