Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 38.07.040

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

A contract under Alaska Stat. § 38.07.010(a) may provide for payment by the state in the form of land certificates which shall be equivalent to cash in the purchase of land credit from the state. The use of land credit certificates may be applied in the manner prescribed by Alaska Stat. § 19.30.090 and regulations adopted under that section.
